Lots of big stories making news today my friends, so take a look:

-Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back as The Terminator! Yes you heard correctly. While there is no script yet, Arnold has attached himself to the project and is shopping it around to all the major studios.

-The Lord of the Rings trilogy is returning to AMC Theaters this June for a 3 week screening of the EXTENDED versions of the classic saga!

-Paul Walker has joined Vehicle 19.

-Ice Age: Continental Drift, aka Ice Age 4 is expanding it's cast. Jennifer Lopez, Drake, Jeremy Renner and Wanda Sykes are all lending their voices for the July 2012 release.

-The CW has renewed The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, America's Next Top Model and Supernatural for the fall 2011 season.

-The Dark Knight Rises is going to be filming in India.

-20th Century Fox is looking to reboot the Zorro franchise, says reports.

-Miley Cyrus is set to guest star on American Idol tonight.

-The Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to release a new studio album in late August.

-Justin Timberlake is rumored to be hosting the SNL Season Finale along with musical guest Lady Gaga.

-Thor is now going to be released in Imax 3D

-Leatherface 3D is apparently going to become a full length movie and a reboot of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre

-The Kanye West Foundation has closed

-Foo Fighters earned their first ever number one album with Wasting Light

-Catherine Zeta-Jones has joined the film Rock of Ages

-Andy Samberg has been tapped as the host of Shark Week

-Patrick Warburton has joined the cast of Ted, the film by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. Warburton is the voice of Joe on Family Guy.

-FX has set premiere dates for it's new show Wilfred for June 23rd and on the same date the return of Louie. Rescue Me will premiere July 12th.

Here's a little sampler of what's on the menu today: Green Lantern news, American Idiot rumors, Joaquin Phoenix coming out of retirement? Plus Sheen back at CBS, check it out:

-Michael Clarke Duncan has joined the cast of the Green Lantern, lending his voice to one of the animated characters of the film.

-American Idiot (the smash broadway hit by Green Day) is reportedly being adapated for the big screen with Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong playing the lead character.

-Joaquin Phoenix who abruptly quit the acting business two years ago is apparently rumored to be coming back to the big screen as he is in talks to join a religious drama project.

-Nicki Minaj has joined Britney Spears upcoming tour replacing Enrique Inglesias.

-Charlie Sheen has reportedly been having talks to rejoin Two and a Half Men for the fall season.

-Ricky Gervais Executive Producer of The Office says the show is still going to be kicking even after star Steve Carell leave the show in a few weeks and could extend on for a few more seasons. (Most of the current cast is contracted through next season, which is season 8.)

-Sally Field is set to star opposite Daniel Day Lewis in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, playing Lincoln's wife.

-Russell Brand has joined the upcoming movie Rock of Ages.

-Catherine Zeta-Jones has checked herself in for treatment for bi-polar disease.

-In case you missed my post last night, The Office season finale this May is featuring some heavyweights of television with the already announced Will Arnett, Ricky Gervais and breaking news is that Ray Romano, Catherine Tate and James Spader will be on the finale to possibly be interviewing for Michael Scott's job? Who knows!!!

-Meredith Vieira is reportedly considering leaving 'Today.'

-Dish Network has bought Blockbuster for $320 Million.

-Jordin Sparks has been tapped as the opening act for the Backstreet Boys/New Kids on the Block tour.

-Taken 2 is apparently a go with Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace set to reprise their roles.

-Sofia Vergara (Modern Family) is reportedly in talks to join the Three Stooges.

-Warner Brothers has pulled the Hangover 2 trailer from Source Code.

-Andy Serkis (Gollum, Lord of the Rings trilogy) is serving as director for the second unit on the upcoming Hobbit movies.

-Glee is set to do Lady Gaga in a 90 minute episode scheduled for April 26th.

Hello boys and girls, here's a taste of what's going on in the crazy wild world of entertainment:

-Rosie O'Donnell's new talk show is going to be filmed here in Chicago in the current studio Oprah films her show in. Show is set to debut this fall on OWN aka the Oprah Winfrey Network.

-Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace is getting the 3-D treatment; it will hit theaters next year.

-Monsters Inc. 2 has been given a title, Monsters University and it will not be a sequel to the smash original it will be a prequel and will see John Goodman and Billy Crystal reprise their voices.

-Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) is attached to an untitled Sleeping Beauty movie project says reports.

-Charlie Sheen will be making an appearance on Drew Carey's new improv show this April. Filming occurred before he went nuts people, sorry.

-Bryan Cranston (Malcom in the Middle/Breaking Bad' is in talks to join the film Total Recall opposite Colin Farrell.

Have come across a few interesting pieces of news this afternoon and wanted to pass them along with you:

• The cast of Modern Family is going to be making an appearance on 'Inside the Actors Studio' with host James Lipton. They will be filming their episode in the middle of May with an air date TBA.
• Good Morning America has reportedly offered an invitation to Chris Brown to have him come back to GMA. Brown who has been making headlines for his recent appearnace on the show, threw a cooler backstage and then proceeded to throw a chair through a glass window in his dressing room and left the building shirtless, sounds like a winner to me! ABC has declined to press charges against the singer.
• MTV has picked up two more seasons of 'The Real World' which will bring the season total to 28, yikes!!!
• Last but certainly not least, screen legend Elizabeth Taylor passed away today at the age of 79.
